Hemp, a traditional crop of the Oesling region, has been rediscovered.
Taste and Usage
Hemp oil, which has a greenish hue, is very aromatic and has a nutty flavor. Whether used pure or diluted, it is excellent for cold preparations such as salad dressings, oil-based sauces like mayonnaise or aioli, and for flavoring various dishes.
Due to its composition, Ourdaller hemp oil is not suitable for hot cooking.
Cultivation
Hemp, once widely grown in the Oesling, has been rediscovered by the Ourdaller farmers and reintroduced into local agriculture. Hemp can be grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
Long considered a drug plant, low-THC hemp varieties are now cultivated locally for their seeds, which are then processed into high-quality oil.
Production
Cold-pressed hemp oil is produced from carefully selected food-grade hemp varieties grown in the region. A delicate cold pressing process preserves the oil’s natural form, quality, and flavor.

Hemp oil not only helps reduce blood fat levels (cholesterol) but also supports the development and metabolism of major bodily systems such as the nerves, brain, and circulatory system.
