Phosphatidylserine (PS) is an essential component of brain cell membranes. It plays a key role in maintaining an environment that supports optimal brain function.*
It improves communication between brain cells – and therefore cognitive function – notably by increasing cell membrane fluidity.*
Other mechanisms of action include enhancing cellular metabolism (such as glucose utilization) and neurotransmitter formation.*

Phosphatidylserine also appears to have antioxidant properties, helping to protect brain cells from free radicals.*
