Omega 3s are polyunsaturated fatty acids known as “essential”: since the body cannot synthesize them in sufficient amounts, they must be supplied by the diet. Among them, EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), found in oily fish, are natural constituents of cell membranes, influencing their structure and fluidity.

Their contributions are recognized by European regulation: EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart (beneficial effect obtained with a daily intake of 250mg of EPA and DHA), and DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision (beneficial effect obtained with a daily intake of 250mg of DHA). Maternal intake of DHA also contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the foetus and breastfed infants (beneficial effect obtained with a daily intake of 200mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega 3). With 600mg of EPA and 400mg of DHA per daily dose of 2 capsules, Physiomance Omega 3+ comfortably exceeds these thresholds (authorized claims, Regulations (EU) No 432/2012 and 440/2011).

The formula is enriched with natural vitamin E, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress — a role it also plays inside the capsule itself, protecting the fatty acids from oxidation throughout the product's shelf life.
