LACTASE 350 mg
Lactase is a digestive enzyme that the human body also produces to break down lactose (milk sugar). As we age, the ability to produce lactase in the intestine decreases. Lactose consists of one glucose unit and one galactose unit. The enzyme lactase splits lactose into these units (glucose and galactose), which can then be absorbed from the intestine. Lactose itself is found in milk or dairy products and in products containing milk components. Breast milk is also an important source of lactose. Newborns who depend on (breast) milk are generally well able to break down lactose. The ability to break down lactose decreases in many people as they grow older. It is estimated that lactose-digesting capacity is significantly reduced in approximately 50–60% of the adult population. This is not in itself strange or abnormal, given that adults – unlike newborns – do not depend on (breast) milk and therefore need to break down much less, or even no, lactose. In principle, (breast) milk is exclusively intended for young animals/babies, and the (high) consumption of milk and dairy products by adults is a cultural phenomenon. In modern society, milk has become an important food product and a source of calcium for both children and adults.
As a result of the “imbalance” described above, part of the (adult) population experiences problems digesting dairy products (lactose). Their ability to produce lactase has decreased to such an extent that they are unable to break down lactose sufficiently (or quickly enough) when consuming relatively large amounts of milk, dairy products, and other foods containing lactose.
The Lactase product has been developed to support modern humans in the digestion of lactose. Taking 1 to 3 capsules before consuming milk or dairy products helps to break down lactose. In addition, it may also be useful for people whose lactose digestion is temporarily less effective.
Note: Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet.

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (vegetable capsule), cellulose (stabilizer), silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent)
Recommended daily dose:
1 to 3 capsules per day, with water and before meals containing dairy products. The daily dose depends on the lactose concentration in the food.
Storage and usage advice:
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Not suitable for children, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women.
