Product Details & Mandatory Information

Dietary supplement to be used as part of a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Has an important regulatory function on mental state.

Properties:

The determining factor for the production of dopamine, noradrenaline, and adrenaline is the amount of free L-tyrosine in the brain. When the amount of free L-tyrosine in the brain is insufficient, the synthesis of dopamine, noradrenaline, and adrenaline significantly decreases. This can lead to apathy, problems with concentration, memory, and alertness, and in severe cases, burnout and hyperactivity. Certain forms of depression (called dopamine-dependent depression) can therefore occur.

L-tyrosine is the direct precursor to thyroid hormones by binding iodide with L-tyrosine, leading to the formation of triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4). These thyroid hormones have a significant regulatory effect on overall metabolism.

Insufficient free L-tyrosine in the thyroid gland can lead to reduced production of thyroid hormones.

The amount of L-tyrosine in the body depends both on the presence of L-tyrosine in the diet and on the conversion of L-tyrosine from the amino acid phenylalanine.

Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid and can only be obtained from the diet. Approximately 67-90% of phenylalanine in the diet is converted into L-tyrosine.

L-tyrosine becomes essential during a phenylalanine deficiency. Our current Western diet is very low in phenylalanine and L-tyrosine, which makes their presence in the body insufficient and can lead to reduced synthesis of dopamine, noradrenaline, and adrenaline, as well as a decrease in the synthesis of thyroid hormones.

L-Tyrosine 500 mg Supplementation:

The effects of L-tyrosine supplementation have been analyzed in numerous studies, including many double-blind, placebo-controlled trials. It has been shown that a dose of 2 x 500 mg of L-tyrosine per day significantly improves memory, concentration, and alertness.

Other studies demonstrate that administering 2 x 500 mg of L-tyrosine per day significantly improves resistance to stress.

Several double-blind, placebo-controlled trials have also demonstrated that administering 500 mg of L-tyrosine twice a day significantly improves symptoms in patients suffering from dopamine-dependent depression.

In cases of depression and mood disorders related to premenstrual syndrome (PMS), we often observe favorable results with 500 mg 2x L-tyrosine supplementation.

Free L-tyrosine levels have significantly decreased during the premenstrual period.

Detoxification:

The effects of ecstasy (XTC), amphetamines, and cocaine depend on increasing the release of dopamine and noradrenaline into the synaptic cleft, preventing reuptake in neurons and inhibiting the enzyme monoamine oxidase (MAO), which destroys catecholamines.

Since the chronic use of cocaine, XTC, and speed depletes dopamine and noradrenaline levels in the brain, we analyzed the usefulness of L-tyrosine supplementation in treating addiction and withdrawal symptoms.

Most medications for hyperactivity increase the availability of dopamine in neuronal cells of the brain, aiming to restore its balance. Magnesium, copper, zinc, folic acid, and vitamins B3, B6, and B12 are cofactors in the conversion of L-tyrosine into dopamine, noradrenaline, and adrenaline. To avoid deficiencies in these nutrients, it is best to combine L-tyrosine with the Multivit Complex.
