Product Details & Mandatory Information:
ASCORBIC ACID
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that cannot be produced by the human body. It is readily available through a good dietary intake of fruits and vegetables, but it is easily destroyed by prolonged storage and cooking.
It is a powerful antioxidant and free radical scavenger. Vitamin C enhances the function and activity of white blood cells, increases interferon levels, antibody responses, and thymic hormone secretion. It is essential for the formation and maintenance of the intercellular matrix and collagen, and for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, teeth, and skin.
Vitamin C aids in iron absorption and red blood cell formation, and converts folic acid into its active form, folinic acid. It helps regulate healthy histamine release and supports lymphocyte formation. Vitamin C is also necessary for the synthesis of carnitine and steroids.
Additionally, vitamin C contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system, and normal psychological function. It also helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.
Note: Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet.
